What is this project about?
This project is designed to give you an opportunity to explore one (or more) of the seventeen UN Sustainabale Development Goals. You will conduct long-term research in the form of a series of Challenges around that goal to gain insight and understanding about what the key issues and problems are, and what is being done to try and alleviate the issue / problem. Use the Workbook (right) to help you document your journey through the Challenges. |
What skills will I develop?
Through the course of the project you will develop a range of very important skills. You will learn:

You will be given (or you can select) one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals to research.
There are ten challenges that you must undertake. You can do them in sequence or randomly. The challenges includes:
If you were given five million dollars to help achieve one of the UN development goals what would you do? In which country would you do it? and why in that country?
Through the course of the project you will develop a range of very important skills. You will learn:
- How to conduct research to gather information around a topic;
- Important information about the United Nations and some of its key initiatives;
- How to 'dig beneath the surface' of a topic to gain a greater understanding about something that has a significant impact in the world;
- How to use a wide repertoire of digital skills and tools; and
- What you, as an individual, can do to make a difference.

- Communicating with individuals and groups
